Ruby Walsh lined up to ride favourite at Grand National

Ruby Walsh is reportedly being lined up to ride Grand National favourite Prince De Beauchene.

Ruby Walsh has reportedly been lined up to ride Grand National favourite Prince De Beauchene at Aintree next month.

The Graham Wylie-owned horse is expected to be favourite for Aintree's trademark race and Walsh is expected to be chosen to ride the 9-1 shot.

Willie Mullins, Prince De Beauchene's trainer told At The Races: "I imagine Prince De Beauchene and On His Own will run. We'll just see closer to the time what will go but I'll be happy to get Graham Wylie's two horses there. They would be a nice team on their own just going.

"I haven't asked Ruby yet what's he going to ride, but I imagine it's always nice to ride a favourite."

Walsh has triumphed at the Grand National on two occasions.
