Synchronised entered for Grand National

Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised will attempt to make racing history after entering this year's Grand National.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained horse held off the challenge of ante-post favourite Long Run to win the festival's headline race last week.

Now the Irish-born thoroughbred is trying to become the first horse in 78 years to capture British steeplechasing's two biggest races in the same season

"If he comes back to the form he was in at Cheltenham, then why wouldn't you go there," said O'Neill.

Synchronised is one of 59 initial entries for the April 14 Aintree race.
