Le Beau Bai wins Welsh National

Eight-year-old Le Beau Bai won the Welsh National at Chepstow racecourse this afternoon.

The 10-1 chance, ridden by Charlie Poste, outpaced the favourite Giles Cross on the home straight to claim the victory.

Le Beau Bai went ahead at the second last on heavy and stayed clear, with Cappa Bleu and Bench Warrent third and fourth respectively.

Le Beau Bai was third in the race in 2009.
