Jockeys pay tribute to Campbell Gillies

Tributes flood in for Campbell Gillies after the jockey died in a swimming accident while on holiday in Corfu.

The racing world has joined together to mourn the loss of Cheltenham festival-winning jockey Campbell Gillies.

Gillies, who was set to celebrate his 22nd birthday on Wednesday, died in a swimming accident while on holiday in Corfu.

Tributes have flooded in for the fledging jockey from some of the biggest names in horse racing.

Champion jockey Tony McCoy: "Very sad news about Campbell Gillies a very good jockey but an even better bloke. All our thoughts are with his family RIP."

Gold Cup-winning jockey Paddy Brennan: "The worst news you cud possibly hear. Campbell you will be sadly missed by us all. Great jockey & even better bloke #RIP."
