Henderson's stable lad wins £1m accumulator

A stable lad at Nicky Henderson's yard has won £1m from a £50 accumulator bet on the stable's record-breaking Cheltenham winners at this year's festival.

31-year-old Conor Murphy became a millionaire when his punt on Sprinter Sacre, Simonsig, Bobs Worth, Finian's Rainbow and Riverside Theatre came in following the latter's dramatic Ryanair Chase win yesterday.

Trainer Henderson told the Daily Mail: "I couldn't be happier for Conor.

"He is such a lovely lad, one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

"He's my top guy and I am absolutely thrilled for him."

Murphy has said that he intends to continue in his job at Lambourn despite the huge win.
