Black Caviar wins 24th race in a row in Melbourne

Black Caviar extends winning run

Black Caviar won her 24th consecutive race by easing to victory in the William Reid Stakes at Mooney Valley, Melbourne.

The victory means that the six-year-old has now won 14 races at Group One level, the same as an Australian record held by Kingston Town.

"She felt amazing to me, travelled well in the run, flowed into the race on her own accord, and she took care of the rest," said jockey Luke Nolen after the four-length victory.

"It has been a privilege to be part of such a great racing story."

Her next scheduled race is the TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick on April 13.
