Anabolic steroids to be banned in Australia?

Horse racing officials in Australia are reportedly planning to enforce a ban on anabolic steroids.

According to BBC Sport, the decision is believed to have been made in a bid to strengthen Australia's zero-tolerance policy of performance enhancing drugs.

The use of anabolic steroids resulted in an eight-year suspension for Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni in April.

The trainer claimed that he was unaware that the steroids were not allowed out of competition.
