So surely, you can bet on the Kentucky Derby for this amazing horse.However, Demling shares something that might shatter the hype over the colt.
Skeptic Take over Essential Quality
What Demling points out about Essential Quality is one hell of a shocker. He is losing his faith for him to win this season's Derby. This is such an off-the-wall assumption compared to other experts, who are pretty confident that Essential Quality might snatch the champion title.According to him, Essential Quality will not even make it to the top five. It is not that the colt does not show any signs of becoming one of the placers, but Demling said that the single-digit odds is too low two months out.
As ironic as it is, this odd prediction of Demling is still not impossible to take place. But knowing that Essential Quality has not received his first loss yet, making his debut and maiden win last September, dominating Breeders' Futurity-G1 and Juvenile-G1, and leading first to Southwest Stakes-G3, you will have a hard time balancing Demling's opinion versus the statistics.
In the current betting odds, Essential Quality is the second favourite horse pick with 8/1 odds, next to the great Life Is Good with 4/1. Despite Demling's sort-of-negative guess over the colt, the high odds speak on the quality performance Essential Quality can offer. But never take this expert's opinions on him lightly. Positive Anticipation for Medina Spirit
Looking at the curveball, the handicapper is hyping Medina Spirit up. The colt has actually got a nice performance on all of his races, placing first and second consecutively on four events.
