Quevega leaves it late to claim her fifth victory at the Cheltenham Festival.

Quevega won the Mares' Hurdle for a fifth successive time at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

The nine-year-old went off as the clear favourite, but it looked as though her chances had ended with two fences left to clear.

However, under the guidance of Ruby Walsh, the Willie Mullins-trained horse ploughed through the field and managed to catch the French leader Sirene D'ainay as they moved up the hill.

That left her enough time to move into first place and she held off the challenge to emerge victorious.

Sirene D'ainay ended up in second, while Swincombe Flame claimed third spot.

The victory has marked a treble for both Walsh and Mullins, who also won with Hurricane Fly and Champagne Fever earlier today.
