Robbie Savage almost misses flight to Brazil by taking wife's passport

BBC World Cup pundit Robbie Savage almost misses his flight to Brazil after taking his wife's passport to the airport.

Former footballer Robbie Savage was in danger of missing his flight to Brazil for the World Cup after taking his wife's passport to the airport by mistake.

The 39-year-old, who is part of the BBC's coverage of the tournament, arrived at Heathrow with the wrong passport, but was able to get the correct ID in time to make his flight.

Savage wrote on Twitter: "Wow thank you @britishairways great staff for rushing me through as I turned up with my wife's passport just got mine in nick of time.

"2nd time it's happened I'm going to have to tell my wife to get her haircut."

Savage later posted an image of the couple together, indicating that he could have passed for his other half due to their similar blond hair.
