The driver involved in Junior Malanda's fatal car crash was behind the wheel without a valid licence, according to reports.

The driver who was involved in Junior Malanda's fatal car crash did not have a valid licence, according to reports.

Former Anderlecht defender Anthony D'Alberto is believed to have been behind the wheel when the car crashed near Porta Westfalica in the North of Germany.

According to Belgium newspaper DH, D'Alberto was driving at speeds of 150 mph without a licence in adverse weather conditions.

Twenty-year-old Malanda, who played for Wolfsburg, tragically passed away, while the driver and another passenger were said to have been hospitalised with serious injuries.
