West Ham United chairman David Gold retweets Michail Antonio 'missing' man photo

West Ham United chairman David Gold has been left red-faced after retweeting an image of a "missing" fan who actually turned out to be Hammers winger Michail Antonio.

The 79-year-old was sent a tweet by a prankster, asking to spread awareness of a supposed Hammers supporter "who went missing in Manchester a few weeks ago".

Gold obliged, but even though the error was spotted and the retweet removed, screenshots of the image were captured, leaving fans poking fun at his inability to recognise one of his own players.

Antonio, 25, cost the Hammers £7m when he arrived from Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day, but he has made just one appearance for Slaven Bilic's team.
