Sunderland hire art students to create mural for training ground

Sunderland looked to two art students to create some artwork for the club's training ground.

Sunderland College students Nathanial Hsu and David Armstrong were commissioned to create panels, which included painted images of city landmarks such as the Black Cats' Stadium of Light and the Penshaw Monument.

Head of Education and Welfare at Sunderland Brian Buddle contacted the college to see what their students could create, according to the Sunderland Echo.

The mural has been placed along the wall from the changing rooms to the training pitches.
