Sunderland's Adam Johnson in court for pre-trial hearing on child sex charges

Sunderland winger Adam Johnson appeared in court on Friday to attend a pre-trial hearing in relation to the child sex charges against him.

The 28-year-old, who previously denied the charges, arrived at Bradford Crown Court this afternoon.

Johnson, who has represented the England national team, has been charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming.

Johnson will stand trial in February.
