Pochettino: 'FA tweet was embarrassing'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has criticised a tweet which mocked Harry Kane's performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.

Last weekend, Spurs succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to United at Wembley Stadium, with a post on social media saying that Kane had spent the game "in the pocket" of Chris Smalling.

The governing body has since apologised for any offence caused by the incident, and Pochettino has described the incident as "embarrassing".

At a press conference, the 46-year-old told reporters: "Yes for me it was embarrassing and it was a shame because the FA is English football, and a potential captain at the World Cup, Harry Kane.

"It was difficult to understand, very very difficult. Of course they apologised about that."

Pochettino has claimed that Kane was "very sad" about the Twitter post.
