British man who invaded Singapore GP track charged with committing "rash act"

British Singapore GP track invader charged

A British man who gained access to the Marina Bay Circuit during the Singapore Grand Prix has been charged with committing a "rash act".

Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia, 27, was arrested after he was spotted walking on the track during the race, which was won by Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.

According to Singaporean media, Mr Yogvitam, who eventually jumped back over a security barrier, was offered S$15,000 (£6,800) bail, but he declined as he had spent all of his money travelling to get to the race.

The track invader will return to court on October 6.
