A total of 28 people are charged with violent conduct following Shrewsbury Town's League One clash with Walsall last year.

A total of 28 people have been charged following their conduct in the buildup to Shrewsbury Town's League One clash with Walsall last year.

A police officer suffered a broken leg in the fights that occurred on October 14, while three other officers also suffered injuries.

According to BBC Sport, the majority of those involved have been charged with violent disorder, with each hearing due to take place from the end of April.

The match ended 1-0 to Shrewsbury.
