Cristiano Ronaldo wants to pursue acting career

Real Madrid and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo reveals that he wants to pursue an acting career when he retires from professional football.

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he wants to pursue an acting career when he retires from professional football.

One of the most decorated footballers in the history of the sport, Ronaldo recently won his fifth Ballon d'Or trophy.

The 32-year-old has helped Real Madrid win the Champions League in each of the last two seasons, and also scored in the final of the Club World Cup last month to ensure that Los Blancos retained the trophy.

Ronaldo still has three years left to run on his contract at the Bernabeu, but has revealed that he is already looking to the future, with a career in the movie industry very much at the forefront of his mind.

"I am focused right now because my football career will finish one day - we all have to retire one day," Ronaldo told Sky Sport Italia.

"I know that day will come. But right now, I am enjoying the moment. When I am retired, I think I will have a good life. I don't say that because of money. I want to try other things; for example, to do movies. I started to plan my future when I was 27, 28 - a long time ago, I began preparing.

"I have a good team, who work in my company, who start to build good things going forward. In football, I am very calm because I know they depend on me."

Ronaldo has scored 16 times in 22 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions this season.
