Cristiano Ronaldo threatens legal action

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has warned media outlets against publishing false stories about him.

The 27-year-old says that he will take legal action against anyone circulating stories about him that are not true.

"Again there is news published about me that is false," Ronaldo wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

"I do not want such nonsense to be published but if it does continue, I am going to have a talk with my lawyers."

Ronaldo joined Madrid from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 for a world record transfer fee of £80m.
