Rangers chief executive Charles Green has been charged by the Scottish Football Association for recent comments that he made in the media.

Green used the term "my Paki friend" during an interview with The Sun newspaper at the weekend and he later went on to defend his actions.

Having looked into the comments, the Scottish football governing body have charged the Ibrox executive with "bringing the game into disrepute by making comments in a media interview of an offensive and racist nature".

He has been asked to respond to the charge by Wednesday, April 17, with a hearing date set for April 25.
