QPR chief Tony Fernandes 'helping find Grand National sponsor'

Fernandes 'searches for new Grand National sponsor'

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes is reportedly helping in the search for a new Grand National sponsor.

The Jockey Club, who own Aintree, are trying to find a replacement for John Smith's, who came to the end of their sponsorship deal on Saturday.

It is understood that they enlisted the help of sponsorship agency PHAR partnerships, who are chaired by Fernandes, to find a new deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Fernandes also runs the Caterham Formula 1 team.
