Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez 'on suicide watch after murder conviction'

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez is reportedly put on suicide watch after being convicted of first-degree murder.

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez has reportedly been placed on suicide watch after being convicted of murder earlier this week.

On Thursday, the 25-year-old was found guilty of shooting dead Odin Lloyd, whose body was found in an industrial estate with six gunshot wounds in June 2013.

According to TMZ, as common procedure, the former tight end has been put on suicide watch at the MCI Cedar Junction facility in Massachusetts, where he will remain until he is transferred to a permanent prison.

It has also been reported that Hernandez has been placed in a cell away from the other inmates for his own safety and so that he can be evaluated by officials.
