Mercedes F1 driver Nico Rosberg announces wife pregnant with baby girl

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg has announced that he and his wife Vivian are expecting their first child together.

The German sportsman, who failed to pip teammate Lewis Hamilton to the championship title last season, confirmed the news on Twitter.

The 29-year-old posted a photo of himself cradling his other half's bump, with the caption: "Exciting time for our little family! Vivian is pregnant and if all goes well we will get a little babygirl in august!"

Rosberg married Vivian, his childhood sweetheart, last year.
