Lewis Hamilton seeks solace in music

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he has been seeking solace in music following his split from Nicole Scherzinger.

The Mercedes driver separated from the X Factor judge earlier this month following a five-year relationship.

"Behind the wheel is my favourite place at the moment or in the studio making music. I am more successful in the studio at the moment," The Mirror quotes the 2008 world champion as saying.

"I need to keep myself occupied and busy because otherwise my mind will wander and that makes the time a lot harder. I need to keep myself really busy with training and make sure the time goes by quickly. I can't wait to get back in the car in Hungary."

On the track, Hamilton has recorded back-to-back pole positions since the split, but has be unable to take a race win.
