Lewis Hamilton relaxes in Sardinia before Italian Grand Prix

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton was spotted spending some time with friends in Sardinia ahead of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix.

The 28-year-old, who recently split from girlfriend of five years Nicole Scherzinger, took some time out to relax by the sea before this Sunday's race.

The former McLaren driver was photographed taking to the waters on a jet ski before returning to the boat and picking up an acoustic guitar, presumably used to showcase his musical talent.

Hamilton is currently 58 points behind Championship leader Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel with eight races left in the season.
