Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton 'purchases limited edition Ferrari'

Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has reportedly splashed out on a limited edition Ferrari, despite driving for Mercedes professionally.

The Brit is said to have made the purchase following his victory at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix earlier this month.

According to Corriere Dealla Sera, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has insisted that there is "no problem" with Hamilton buying the £1m 'LaFerrari' car.

Hamilton won the championship title with Mercedes last season.
