Mercedes F1 driver Lewis Hamilton: 'I avoided partying during break'

Hamilton: 'No partying during break'

Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he had early nights and avoided partying during his summer break.

The 28-year-old has claimed that he spent four weeks away from the circuit spending time with friends and keeping a curfew.

"I kept myself really busy, never went out to dinner or party and went to bed early every night - always by 11.30pm," Hamilton wrote in his BBC Sport column.

"In fact, I only had two days' holiday. I went to my place in Colorado for two days last weekend with a group of friends. We did rafting, buggying, hiking, chilling by the pool and it was fantastic."

Hamilton is back to work this weekend for the Belgian Grand Prix.
