Adidas have designed a third kit for Marseille that was allegedly inspired by Joey Barton.

The shirt, which has been made to resemble mock denim and comes complete with a faux stitched pocket, has garnered negative feedback from fans on Twitter.

The Metro speculates that its design was inspired by Barton, who has been seen sporting a denim jacket in several photographs.

Queens Park Rangers man Barton spent last season on loan with the Ligue 1 club, but it is uncertain whether he will return there next season.
