Yorke suffers slip of the tongue at awards bash

Dwight Yorke caused some giggles among the crowd when he accidentally made a suggestive comment while on stage during Manchester United's end-of-season awards dinner.

Louis van Gaal stole the headlines with his passionate speech, but Yorke also caught the attention at the event on Tuesday night.

The former United striker fumbled his words when he was about to announce the winner of Goal of the Season while on stage with presenter Hayley McQueen.

While struggling with the envelope, Yorke said he would confirm the winner if he could "get it out", and after a few giggles from the crowd, the retired footballer said, "sorry, I didn't mean it that way!".
