Ashley Young 'teased' by teammates about pigeon incident

Ashley Young has revealed that he is teased by his teammates about what looked like bird excrement flying into his mouth during the defeat against Swansea City earlier this season.

The Manchester United winger was filmed shouting at his side during the game when the strange incident unfolded, seconds before the camera cut away.

"I don't know what it was. I need to get to the bottom of it," the 29-year-old said when asked about the incident, according to the Daily Mail.

"After it actually happened - I don't know who it was and I need to get to the bottom of this as well - above my locker there was a pigeon put up.

"I walked in and thought 'oh no'. And that was it, everyone started taking pictures of it. Everyone thinks it actually happened."
