Manchester United's Ashley Young took the stands for his side's trip to Newcastle United at the weekend.

Ashley Young joined Manchester United supporters during their trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

The England winger, who is currently out of action with a knee injury, sat in the upper tier at the Sports Direct Arena throughout the 90 minutes with the travelling faithful.

He initially tried to hide his identity by putting the hood up on his coat. However, he was soon spotted by fans and then posed for a number of pictures - some of which have now found their way onto Twitter.

Young was accompanied by United reserve striker John Cofie, who is on loan with League One side Sheffield United.

The Red Devils won the match 3-0 thanks to goals from Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra and Tom Cleverley.
