Bastian Schweinsteiger given parking ticket after lunch with Owen Hargreaves

Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger was hit with a parking ticket after having lunch with former Bayern Munich teammate Owen Hargreaves earlier this week.

The German World Cup winner, who joined the Red Devils from Bayern last month for a reported £14m fee, parked his black Range Rover illegally in Manchester and was later punished for doing so.

The 31-year-old was photographed spotting the yellow ticket on his windscreen, and minutes later, Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis was hit with the same punishment on his silver Mercedes, according to the Daily Star.

Schweinsteiger could make his second Premier League appearance for the Red Devils in tonight's clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
