Wayne Rooney 'to pay tribute to late sister-in-law with T-shirt'

Rooney 'to pay tribute to sister-in-law'

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney reportedly wants to pay tribute to his sister-in-law Rosie McLoughlin, who died at the age of 14 on Saturday.

The 27-year-old has been grieving with his wife Coleen and her family after it emerged that Rosie had passed away from a rare genetic brain disorder called Rett syndrome.

"He really wants to pay tribute to Rosie," said a source, according to The Sun. "He may even get a memorial T-shirt and wear it under his strip. He wants to show everyone what Rosie meant to him and pay tribute to her bravery."

Rooney is currently sidelined with a knee injury and has already been ruled out of United's clash against Liverpool this Sunday.
