Piers Morgan mocks Robin van Persie after Manchester United lose to Liverpool

Television host and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan took to Twitter to poke fun at Manchester United striker Robin van Persie following their defeat to Liverpool.

The 48-year-old has been known to mock the Dutchman on the social networking website since Van Persie left the Emirates for United back in 2012.

After United lost 3-0 to arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, Morgan decided to mock Van Persie by making a play on the words of the Merseyside club's anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

Along with an image of Van Persie glumly walking behind the Liverpool team celebrating, Morgan tweeted: "YOU'LL ALWAYS WALK ALONE...."
