Moyes mocked on Twitter after axe

The opportunity to poke fun at David Moyes has come for many football fans after Manchester United announced that he has been sacked by the club.

The Scotsman lasted less than 10 months at Old Trafford following his appointment in the summer after Sir Alex Ferguson opted to retire from the helm after 27 years.

Despite signing a six-year contract, Moyes will leave the club just four games before the end of his first season in charge after overseeing 15 defeats in all competitions.

It appears that a number of Twitter users have opted to laugh at Moyes's expense as a number of mocked-up images involving the Scotsman have been posted on social media.

Ex-England cricketer Michael Vaughan also decided to get involved by highlighting a fake movie poster relating to Oscar-winning picture 12 Years A Slave.
