Manchester United have gained over one million followers on Twitter since their arrival on the social networking website in the summer.
The Premier League champions now have over 1,002,000 people tracking their online progress just days ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Despite reaching the milestone, they are still behind cross-town rivals Manchester City, who have over 1,100,000 followers, but the blue half of the city have had a presence online since 2009.
United wrote a message of thanks to their supporters after surpassing the one million mark.
One million followers and counting. Thanks for your support. We hope you've enjoyed the journey so far... #mufc pic.twitter.com/KmKMWrfY0M
