Ferguson to start second book?

Sir Alex Ferguson could reportedly begin writing his second autobiography following his decision to retire as manager of Manchester United.

The 71-year-old announced his intentions to step down from his role at Old Trafford yesterday following a glittering 26-year career at the club.

The Scotsman released his first book in the Treble-winning year of 1999, but is expected to write his new memoirs soon in a £2m deal with Hodder & Stoughton, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed that sports journalist Paul Hayward has been lined up as ghost writer.
