Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand hosts launch party for new book

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand celebrated the launch of his new book by hosting a party on Wednesday evening.

The 34-year-old is due to release his book Rio: My Decade as a Red on August 9, just eight days before the start of the new Premier League season.

Ferdinand's brother Anton and former England defender Sol Campbell were in attendance, along with Countdown presenter and United supporter Rachel Riley, according to the Daily Mail.

Ferdinand will release his book on the same day of his testimonial against Sevilla at Old Trafford.
