Manchester United and England legend Sir Bobby Charlton was reportedly taken to hospital midway through his round at the Alfred Dunhill Links tournament yesterday.

The 76-year-old is believed to have been given emergency treatment due to stomach pains that he was experiencing during the event.

According to The Mirror, Charlton initially refused to get into the ambulance that was called and stated that he wanted to continue the round, but he was eventually persuaded to be taken to Ninewells hospital in Dundee.
