Sir Bobby Charlton design to replace 'Chosen One' banner?

A banner paying tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton may replace the 'Chosen One' slogan on the Stretford End.

A banner that would pay homage to Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton could replace David Moyes's 'Chosen One' banner on the Stretford End at Old Trafford.

The organisation behind the banners at that end of the stadium, Stretford End Flags, have suggested that Charlton is perhaps the ideal candidate to join the likes of Ryan Giggs, who already has a tribute paid to him, following the sacking of Moyes earlier today.

"Perhaps now is the time for all those banner critics to put their talents to use & come up with a stand out design for Bobby Charlton," SEF wrote on their Twitter page.

Current rumours have suggested that the 'Chosen One' banner may be donated to the National Football Museum in Manchester.
