David Beckham marks marriage, Manchester United treble with '99' tattoo

Former England captain David Beckham has revealed that he has had the number 99 tattooed on one of his fingers to commemorate a "good year" for him.

The now-retired midfielder was part of the Manchester United squad that won the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champions League during 1999, and became a father for the first time following the birth of Brooklyn in March before marrying Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham at the end of the season.

The 40-year-old revealed the new design on his Instagram account:

99 was a good year for me ...

In 2013, Beckham confirmed that he has a total of 32 tattoos, including the names of his three sons and Victoria misspelled in Hindi.
