Arsenal fan in Uganda loses house over bet

An Arsenal fan in the Iganga district of Eastern Uganda is rendered homeless as a result of losing a bet against his Manchester United-supporting neighbour.

An Arsenal fan in Uganda has lost his house in a bet over the final result of Sunday's Premier League match between Manchester United and the Gunners.

Henry Dhabasani of the Iganga district of Eastern Uganda wagered a bet against his neighbour that the London club would win the contest at Old Trafford.

Dhabasani's neighbour Rashid Yiga, a United supporter, put up his car and wife as collateral in the bet, with the agreement being signed in front of community members and leaders.

Arsene Wenger's side suffered a 1-0 defeat, thanks to Robin van Persie's goal in the first half, and Dhabasani, who has three wives and five children, lost his bet and was forced to leave his house on Monday.
