Luke Shaw thanks PSV Eindhoven fans for "nice gesture"

Manchester United's Luke Shaw says thank you to the PSV Eindhoven fans that plan to reveal a banner at Old Trafford wishing him well in his recovery from a broken leg.

Injured Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has thanked the PSV Eindhoven supporters for the banner that they plan to unfurl during tonight's Champions League group game between the two sides at Old Trafford.

In the reverse fixture in September, the 20-year-old sustained a double leg break during a challenge with PSV's Hector Moreno.

The England international is not expected to return to action until next season and with that in mind, the travelling Dutch contingent have decided to wish him well in his recovery.

In response, Shaw took to Twitter this afternoon to praise them for their gesture.

Shaw is not expected to attend the game, having been given some time off by manager Louis van Gaal.ID:259135: cacheID:259135:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:2196:No Data Analysis info
