Manchester City are planning to build a fan tribute around the roads of the Etihad Stadium, spelling out the lyrics to the club's anthem 'Blue Moon'

Manchester City have launched plans to build a fan tribute called the 'City Circle' on the roads surrounding their home ground of the Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League champions will create around 40,000 'Bluemoon discs', which will have the City emblem emblazoned on the front and allow supporters to pay for personalised messages.

The thousands of discs will spell out the lyrics of the club's anthem 'Blue Moon' and each letter is expected to be as tall as two metres high, according to the Daily Mail.

The club's official website are allowing supporters to pre-order the discs with prices starting from £60.
