Manchester City duo Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards enjoyed a game of Scrabble during their flight to Amsterdam for their Champions League encounter with Ajax.
The Premier League champions take to the field this evening but during their journey Lescott and Richards tested each other's vocabulary in an electronic version of the game.
Lescott tweeted: "45 mins to Holland, get a game of Scrabble in with Micah."
The England international added a short while later: "Their can only be 1 winner, he wants the rematch but I've always been told quit while your ahead."
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of the score, which Lescott edged by 34 points, and an image of some of the words used, which included 'spoon', 'bye' and 'red'.
