Daniel Sturridge accuses taxi driver of drinking

Daniel Sturridge has accused a taxi driver of drinking after flying home from Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States.

The striker returned to England after picking up an injury, which ruled him out of this evening's International Champions Cup final against Manchester United.

However, after arriving back in the UK, the England international wrote:

So the taxi driver has been drinking. Couldn't have wished for a worse 45 mins journey. Stinks of booze.. #pissed pic.twitter.com/WYYf5VnbZb

Sturridge scored 24 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season.
