The Hillsborough Families Support Group set up a stall in Liverpool to help raise funds for the families of those affected by the disaster in 1989.

The Hillsborough Family Support Group have set up a stall in Liverpool city centre to help raise money for the families of the 96 victims of the tragedy in 1989.

The stall will sell various merchandise including Hillsborough wristbands for shoppers who want to show their support to the groups fighting for justice after it emerged that Liverpool fans were wrongly blamed for contributing to the deaths of their own fans in a crush at the Hillsborough Stadium.

"Trade has started to pick up, the calendars have been selling like hot cakes," Gary Muldoon, who will man the stall, told the Liverpool Echo. "But we also have two poems for sale. You will not be able to buy them anywhere but here.

"One is called 'The Hillsborough 96', written for Liverpool fans, and the other is called 'If You Know Your History' for Everton fans."

Meanwhile, famous singers including Robbie Williams and Sir Paul McCartney have put their vocals on a charity single to help cover the Hillsborough families' legal costs.
