Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard joins wife Alex at charity ball

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard attended a special charity event hosted by the Hilton Star Ball after helping his side win against Fulham at Anfield.

The 33-year-old posed for photographs on the red carpet of the event at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool One with his wife Alex.

The event, which was given a Hollywood theme, raised over £25,000 for the Hilton in the Community Foundation as well as the Steven Gerrard Foundation, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and super middleweight boxer Paul Smith were also in attendance.
