Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is given a £700 fine after being found driving at 96mph in a 70mph zone.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has been issued with a £700 speeding fine after being found driving at 96mph in a 70mph zone.

The incident happened on the A14 near Bythorn in Cambridgeshire, about an hour South of Leicester, on October 13.

Ranieri was not present at court to receive his punishment, which included the £700 fine, £85 in court costs, a £70 victim surcharge and five points on his licence.

The Italian's side have emerged as unlikely title contenders this season and currently sit two points from the top in the Premier League table.
