Juventus star Carlos Tevez takes family to meet Pope Francis

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez meets Pope Francis at the Vatican with his family.

Juventus striker Carlos Tevez and his family spent a day in the company of Pope Francis at the Vatican.

The Argentina international is said to have discussed a number of issues surrounding his home city of Buenos Aires, where the Pope is also from.

Following the visit, Tevez wrote on Twitter: "Thank you Holy Father for welcoming my family. I'm proud that you're Argentine, and above all that you're so humble."

The former Manchester City striker also posted a photo of himself and his family with Pope Francis on the social networking website.
